2hr Slots

2 Hour Slots

The more enlightened flying instructors will all agree that it is impossible to introduce and properly teach a new exercise from the syllabus in any less amount of time.

In order that the new skills can be acquired in the air a quality pre-flight brief covering all aspects of the flight must be completed first. Quite simply, if the basics of a exercise are not clearly understood on the ground before a flight then it makes it far more difficult for a student to learn when airborne. Similarly, time must be made for a post-flight de-brief so that a student understands where their strengths and weaknesses lie and to help focus their attention on the required study and practice required before the next lesson. Other schools may offer training slots of less than two hours but invariably pre-flight briefs become inadequate or omitted and elements of the flying exercise may be rushed or rolled over until next time. Here at Pagoda a typical two-hour slot would contain:

  • 25 mins –  Relaxed Interactive pre-flight brief

  • 15 mins – External aircraft checks

  • 1 Hr 15 mins – Instruction in the aircraft

  • 5 mins – Student de-brief
